Electrical muscular stimulation (EMS) is a safe therapy widely used in training and rehabilitation around the world, however some precautions and contraindications have to be respected. If you have any health disorders please consult your physician or doctor before using any EMS device.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

I declare that I do not have the following conditions (check the boxes to confirm that you DO NOT have that contraindication).

❏ Electric implants such as heart pacemakers or pumps

❏ Coronary stents are present.

❏ Cardiac arrhythmia

❏ Pregnancy

❏ Epilepsy

❏ Skin diseases or wounds in the region of application of the electrodes

❏ Incomplete post-operative healing in the region of application

❏ Inflammatory diseases

❏ Malignant diseases such as cancer

❏ Newly slipped disks or other instabilities in the region of application

❏ Not completely healed fractures in the region of application

❏ Blood clots (thrombosis) in the region of application

❏ Diseases of the bones are involved in the area of application, which are associated with high risk of bone fracture, like a higher grade of osteoporosis (bone decalcification)

❏ Risk of serious bleeding.

❏ Fever and general diseases, which can be aggravated by physical exertion

❏ Children or persons with limited communicative or reactive abilities.

If you have any of these conditions EMS should not be used unless authorized by a physician or doctor. Please contact your physician or doctor.


SIDE EFFECTS:

I understand that there can be side effects from the use of electrical stimulation such as:

Soreness Discomfort

Skin reactions (such as redness)

These effects should not last more than a few days. In the event of prolonged side effects please consult a physician or a doctor.
